Old Settlers Sand Volleyball Tournament Rules
Format:
- 6-on-6 Co-Ed Double Elimination.
- Maximum of 20 teams.
Team Size: Maximum of 8 players per team, including a designated team captain.
Eligibility: All participants must be 18 years or older.
Roster Policy: Teams must compete with the players listed on their original roster. No substitutions or team changes are allowed during the tournament. Playing with unregistered players will result in a forfeit and removal from the bracket.
Co-Ed Rule:
- If more than one hit is used to return the ball over the net, at least one of those contacts must be made by a female player.
- At least half of the players on the court at all times must be female (minimum of 3)
Officiating: Games are self-officiated. Players are expected to call their own net violations, carries, and boundary calls.
Disputes: In the case of a disagreement, the point must be replayed.
Match Format: Matches are best 2 out of 3 games. If one team wins the first two games, a third will not be played.
Scoring:
- Games 1 and 2: Played to 21 points (rally scoring).
- Game 3 (if needed): Played to 15 points (rally scoring).
- Note: Game lengths may be adjusted throughout the day due to time constraints. Any changes will be announced at the bracket table.
Entry Fee: $40 per team. There are no refunds for teams that register and do not attend.
