AUGUST 1-3, 2025
I was born and raised in Maxwell, graduating with the class of 1994. After spending a few years away for college and exploring job opportunities on the East Coast, I returned to Maxwell-the place I've always called home-to raise my two boys with my husband, DJ. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, riding my side-by-side, and bringing joy to my friends. I've had the privilege of serving our community as Vice President and later as President of the Old Settlers Committee before handing the reins to Toots. Now that my boys are grown, I'm thrilled to dedicate my time once again as President. My goal is to continue growing our celebration and making the Old Settlers Picnic an event everyone looks forward to year after year.
I grew up in Maxwell and currently live just south of town with my wife and two boys. I’m a graduate of Collins-Maxwell and Iowa State University. I run a farming operation along with a precision ag and fertilizer business.
In my free time, I often enjoy a nice tenderloin sandwich, vanilla ice cream, watching the Iowa State Cyclones, and spending time snowmobiling, camping, and boating. I also enjoy vacations to Mackinac Island.
For Old Settlers, my goal is to transform cherished traditions into new memories. Community support is essential for our success!
I am a member of the Link family of Maxwell. I graduated from Collins-Maxwell and attended Central College in Pella, studying Political Science and Organizational Management. I am an HR executive working for the Cintas Corporation. Prior to that I worked for Amazon, Center Grove Orchard, Willis Cadillac and John Deere. I am a lifelong bachelor and enjoy picking for antiques, my cut flower garden, grand-millennial design, and vacationing in Key West, Fl. My goal in helping to lead the current Old Settlers Generations committee is to put to work my servant leadership skills and implement the wishes and feedback from the Maxwell area citizens in what they'd like to see return to our annual celebration.
I grew up in Maxwell, and graduated from Collins-Maxwell in 1992. I have been married for 30 years to my husband Greg, and we raised our children here; Christopher, Logan and Payton. I am happy to say that all our children also still reside in Maxwell. I am a proud "Lolli" to my grandson, Mason. I work for Professional Property Management where I am the Property Manager of three apartment complexes in Altoona. I enjoy traveling (mostly where it's warm) and reading. I have had the privilege of serving our community as the Treasurer of the Old Settlers Committee in the past. My goal is to assist in establishing a strong and stable foundation for the Old Settlers Celebration to thrive in the years to come.
I am originally from Michigan but moved to this area when I was in high school. I met my wife, Megan(Pritchard), in 2010 and have lived here since. We reside in Iowa Center with our two children, Beau and Molly. In my spare time I enjoy watching my kids' participate in sports, riding our side by side and spending time in our pool. My goal for Old Settlers is to bring it back to what it was when I first moved into town.
